PRESIDENT'S LETTER: August 2025
Happy August CSOC Members,
It is still a hot summer with a little rain to cool things down, but lots of fun activities are in the works for August. Grey and Mary have planned some great activities. The activities remaining for the month of August are: On the 14th, Tootsie and Dinner in Conway, the 16th, Dirty Laundry Band at La Belle Amie Winery, the 21st, Sunset River Art Gallery & Jazz Band, the 28th, Music on Main St-The Tonez in NMB, the 30th, Fabulous Fish Heads at La Belle Amie Winery. That's a fun line-up, so please go to the website and sign up for those that you would enjoy.
Several of us attended the Magic Show last night; the rest of you all missed an excellent show. Charles Bach, who is now a resident of Myrtle Beach, has performed all over the world. He is hosting the Magician's Convention on Sept. 11-13. The top magicians from all over the world will be in Myrtle Beach to perform. He also has Hypnotists, Comedians, and Psychics that perform the funniest acts with the audience. Come out to support a magician that headlined in Las Vegas and is now a member of our community. The website is Wonderstickets.com. We get a big discount going as a group.
Our fall 2026 trip to Portugal is fully booked (42 people). Pricing for the trip will come at a later date as soon as the airlines release their new rates.
We will have our August and September club meetings in Shelter # 3 at Myrtle Beach State Park. In order for us to plan for food, you MUST SIGN UP for our monthly meeting by the deadline date. Like our events, IF YOU CANNOT MAKE IT AND HAD REGISTERED, PLEASE REMOVE YOUR NAME. It costs the club money that is then wasted when we have a lot of food left over and people don't show up.
Please be sure that your dues are fully paid for the new year. If not, download the membership form, fill it out, attach a check and get it to Karen McCurry before August 15. This will cover your membership for June 1, 2025 through May 31, 2026.
This is your club, so please continue to do your part to enjoy events and contribute in any way that you can.
