PRESIDENT'S LETTER:   October 2025

Happy October CSOC Members,

Our October started out a little hot but quickly cooled down and is also making sure our plants have plenty of water!!!! A big Thank You goes out to Barbara Browning and Carol Wilson, who put together some great activities for September. On the 5th, was Lunch at Damon's Grille, 11th was Ghost Tour & Dinner at the Brentwood Inn, 14th was Jazz Evening & Dinner at the Carolina Steak & Seafood Restaurant, 24th was A Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser at Beachfront Kitchen and Bar. If you missed any of these activities, you missed a lot of fun and getting to know your fellow members. 

Our event coordinators for October are Judy Caulder, Alan Duncan and Gloria Slingsby.  They have set up some interesting and fun events for the membership:  There was on October 3rd, Jukebox Bingo at the Elks Club, Oct 4th was dinner at Miyabi Japanese Restaurant, coming up on Oct 16th, Ladies Brunch- Zeytin Turkish Restaurant,11am, Oct 20th-Introduction to Bunco at Gloria Slingsby Home, 4pm,  Oct 27th-Conway Halloween Happy hour & walk about,5pm, Oct 30th-Halloween Party at Myrtle Beach State Park,5pm.  If you are interested in any of these activities, there are FULL DETAILS on the website where you can sign up for these events. 

Our fall 2026 trip to Portugal is fully booked (42 people).  Pricing for the trip will come at a later date as soon as the airlines release their new rates which according to John may be in June 2026.  

We will have our October 14th Monthly Club meeting 6pm at The Giant Crab/ Pirates Tavern

Please be sure that your dues are fully paid up for the new year.  If not, download the membership form, fill it out, attach a check and get it to Karen McCurry. This will cover your membership for June 1,2025 through May 31, 2026. 

This is your club, so please continue to do your part to enjoy events and contribute in any way that you can.
