PRESIDENTS LETTER FEBRUARY 2025
Hi Everyone,
Here we are in February already. January brought COLD and SNOW to Myrtle Beach. I'm looking forward to warmer weather.
MaryAnn Carruthers, Elena Moglia and Kate Christian had some great events for January. The Oyster Roast had to be rescheduled due to inclement weather (darn snow). It is now scheduled for March 22nd. The White Elephant sale at the January meeting brought in $500 to be donated to Western North Carolina as they continue to rebuild. What a great event for a great cause. Thanks, ladies, for a great start to the New Year.
Judy Russell and I have planned the events for February starting with Boathouse Trivia, continuing with a Red and Pink Party at the home of Faith Campbell, Chapin Art Museum (exhibit - Awakening featuring Mary Edna Frazier), Chucks Happy Hour at Chucks Steakhouse, Dinner and a Movie or Jazz at Trivinia's, and ending with Music Bingo at It Doesn't Matter Bar and Grill. Look for pictures of all the events in the website and on Facebook.
The meeting for February will be at Beachfront Kitchen/Bar on Tuesday February 11th. This will be a Valentine celebration.
Also save the date to celebrate the Coastal Ski and Outing Clubs 40th Anniversary on Thursday May 22nd at the Elks. This will be a dress-up event. More information to come as the event gets closer.
Come join in for all the events and I hope everyone has a great February.
Your President,
Judy Ombrello
