Hello CSOC Members!!!

     As my first letter as your New President, I would like to start out by giving you a short background of who I am. My wife Kathy and I moved to Myrtle Beach 6 years ago from PA., we retired from Kathy being a Dental Hygienist and myself as an Insurance Agent for Medicare. I was in the USAF and a Vietnam Veteran. We both love to travel, go dancing, play golf, pickleball and love to have parties with our club members. Kathy and I have four children between us. Two girls ages 56 and 52, and two boys 52 and 46. We also have 6 grandkids (3 boys and 3 girls) and one great grandson. I would like to start a new feature at our monthly meetings with 2 featured members telling a little about themselves, so we all get to know each other instead of just saying hi at our meetings. I am going to start with our Board members at the September Monthly meeting, this way it will give everyone enough time to outline who you are, some funny and interesting facts about you, what your interests are and most importantly why you joined CSOC and what would you like to see our club do better.  I am looking forward to an exciting fun filled year. Our membership now stands at 143 members.  Our May events were unfortunately a little light due to unforeseen circumstances.  Several activities did take place, however. We had a great time at the Kentucky Derby party hosted by the Optimist Club. Also, in May was the bus trip to Washington DC, where fun was had by all who attended, and nobody got investigated by the FBI. There were games on the bus hosted by Karen with some interesting prizes. We had a fun night full of laughing and yelling playing Juke Box Bingo at the Elks Club. We ended the month with our 40th Anniversary dinner dance, with 63 members dressed to impress. Kellie J and Larinza provided the music and entertainment. Please make sure you sign up for the monthly meeting at the Myrtle Beach State Park Shelter B2 on June 10th at 6pm. Looking forward to seeing all of you at the meeting and also the June activities.
